On Wednesday evening, September 26, 2018 a group of DCCS runners participating in an event called Plogging. With support from REI and Salomon, a team of approximately 20 runners canvased the Scott’s Run Nature Preserve and collected approximately 6 to 7 large bags of trash and litter. We will do this again!!! Join us next time!

A quote from one runner - “This is honestly what it’s all about. We can’t take these trails for granted. It feels good to give back, even if we only filled one bag of trash”.

A quote from another - “the minute I started picking up the litter, the more I realized we should honestly do this more often, it’s very sad how people don’t clean up after themselves in nature”
