Join Achilles DC and Be Part of an Inclusive Exercise Community!

Are you a person with a disability looking to become more fit, get some fresh air while socializing with others or train for a 5k race?

Are you an experienced runner interested in helping athletes with disabilities reach their fitness goals by serving as a guide, or just a friendly person who’d like to be a walking/jogging buddy for someone who would other-wise have a hard time exercising outside?

Then come to DuPont Circle on Sunday mornings at 9 AM to join the weekly workouts of
Achilles International’s D.C. chapter!

Achilles International enables people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream athletics in order to promote personal achievement, enhance self-esteem, and lower barriers to living a fulfilling life.

WHEN:

Every Sunday, 9 AM, rain or shine by the south entrance to the DuPont Circle metro station, by Panera Bread. Group convenes at Panera after the runs around 10:30 am.

Wednesday Workouts at 5:00 pm leaving at 5:30 pm. Locations would include Foggy Bottom metro, pentagon city metro, Rosslyn metro. Email them for current information.

They are always looking for volunteers and will need guides for training and racing for Rock and Roll races and Marine Corps Marathon.

All abilities and paces welcome, from racers to a leisurely stroll and everything in between.
