DC Capital Striders Holiday Lights Runs
Many years starting in 2009, DC Capital Striders Running Group has hosted an annual Holiday Lights Run event in mid December. The event is for charity with proceeds going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org), with collected toys going to the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program (https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/angel-tree/). Many partnered companies sponsor the event each year and the attendees participate in a raffle at the end of the event. Raffle prizes in previous years have included running shoes, free race entries, running gear, gift cards, and certificates to local restaurants, pubs and fitness gyms, yoga studios, and more.
