Ask the Coaches! 

This is an opportunity to talk directly with one of three RRCA certified running coaches!  While we are not medical doctors, physical therapists, or other sports medicine professionals, you can ask us questions related to your training.   Training can include any distance from 5K all the way up to ultra-marathon.  We will get back to you as soon as we can.  You ultimately know your body the best, so we are not responsible for any injuries that may occur through your training; however we will give you our best tips and suggestions.  

The Coaches:

Rick Amernick - Founder of DC Capital Striders Running Group.  Started running regularly in 2006 and have completed races from 5K to 50 mile distance.   Trained a few runners when received certification in 2009; however have been focused primarily on managing running group events and membership. 

Erik Price -  Erik began running after college, eventually setting his sights on the Marine Corps Marathon in 2009.  Since then he has over 40 finishes at the marathon distance or longer with wide ranging Personal Records from a sub 18 minute 5k, to sub 3 hours in the marathon, and a 22:19 100 miler.  He has been organizing group runs and track workouts for years and became an RRCA Certified Running Coach in 2016.  Outside of running he enjoys cycling, reading, music, and travel.

Jesse Fuller -  Jesse Fuller started running in 2013 to get in better shape. After meeting the runners of DC Capital Striders, he began running regularly and competes in 100-mile+ ultramarathon races. Jesse is now a certified Run Coach and Personal Trainer specializing in runner-specific functional mobility, endurance, and injury prevention/rehabilitation (he has been injury free for his entire running career). In his spare time, he enjoys climbing mountains and camping.
